Introduction Gantt Control

|
| |
► Activities within the gantt chart
Activities and tasks are visualized within the gantt chart. To describe activities, two different types of bars are available. Planned activities are represented as task bar objects. In contrast progress bars are used to describe actual activities. |
|
► Grouping bars
Multiple bars can be grouped together to define a summary bar. If the time span of a containing activity is changed the overall time span of the summary is adjusted contemporaneously. Furthermore an entire summary bar can be moved with the mouse. |
|
► Connecting bars
To transform complex relations of activities among each other, into the more abstract view model of a gantt chart, bars can be connected to each other. If two or more bars are connected by using a “fix” connection, changes made to one bar are delegated to all referring connected bars. |
|
► Defining the timescale
Within the timescale the four time modes “daily view”, “weekly view”, “monthly view” and “yearly view” are available. For each time mode the display format can be set up. |
|
► High adaptability
There is a vast amount of possibilities for specifying the style and the content of the gantt chart. Among bars and connections, objects like milestones, textnotes and images can be added to the gantt chart. Properties like buffer time, bar height, frame, internal bar progress, rowheight, rowcolour, start-, endpictogram are adjustable. |
|
► Defining special dates
Special dates like project start, project end, weekends or holidays can be defined in the calendar of the gantt chart. Non-recurring and recurring dates can be added in a flexible way to categories. Furthermore it is possible to add and visualize non-working dates to the gantt chart. |

Pertgraph |
|
► Activities of the pertgraph.
Activities of the gantt chart can be visualized in a more abstract way as pert bars within the pert graph. For each activity, time specific requirements can be defined such as the earliest start date, the earliest finish date, the latest start date and the latest finish date. |
|
► Modelling structures
For modelling existing structures of a project, pert bars can also be used. Text can be added to pert bars within three different levels. Also an additional list can be added to a pert bar. |

Table view |
| |
► Defining the table view.
A gantt chart or a pert chart is linked to a table. The table view supports hierarchical structuring and single branches can be collapsed or expanded.
|
|
► Entering data
For entering a huge amount of different data, there are cell editors for different data types e.g. (text-single line), text-multi line, date, time, combo box, image combo box, currency, spin edit and a text-button editor). |

Printing preview |
| |
► Presenting results
Use the printing preview for presenting the results of the ganttchart/pertchart. The layout can be adjusted in a flexible way to fit the users need. |
